CACI Celebrates Independence Day 2015
"I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival … It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more. … You will think me transported with Enthusiasm, but I am not - I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration."
- John Adams, Letter to Abigail Adams, July 3, 1776
On Saturday, we mark the 239th anniversary of one of the greatest events in world history: the signing of the American Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Never before in history had a colony broken away from its parent country. Certainly, no colony had termed its independence as a matter of right - that "these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent states," in the words of the original resolution.
Today we celebrate this revolutionary event just as John Adams would have wanted: with fireworks, pageants, and pomp and parades. But we are also mindful of the toil, blood, and treasure that have been expended to win and maintain our liberties, not only here at home but around the world.
At CACI, we are proud of the role we play in helping to keep America safe and free. We are committed to performing with innovation, ingenuity, and good character in delivering the solutions our government customers depend on to complete their missions, from the back office to the front lines.
This Independence Day, we join all Americans in celebrating the birth of our nation, and the work we must all do in support of its continued success.
