CACI Celebrates the 226th Birthday of the U.S. Coast Guard
The U.S. Coast Guard has a distinction among all government organizations: it is both a military force and federal law enforcement agency. While dedicated to maritime safety, security, and stewardship, it is also charged with defending the homeland by enforcing federal laws on both the open seas and America’s national waterways.
The Coast Guard’s national defense responsibilities are also unique. In times of peace, it operates as part of the Department of Homeland Security. In times of war, or at the direction of the President, the Coast Guard serves as part of the U.S. Navy Department.
CACI delivers a range of solutions and services to support the Coast Guard and its missions. Since 1996, CACI has provided training on ship interdiction of terrorists and narco-terrorists, helped improve maritime domain awareness, and provided comprehensive maintenance support to sustain the Coast Guard fleet.
Whether working to protect the marine environment, conducting search-and-rescue operations to save lives, or safeguarding our shores, the Coast Guard is a strong and vital force in American life, and a bulwark of American’s freedoms.
Please join us in saluting the Coast Guard and congratulating this esteemed organization on 226 years of outstanding dedication and service to our nation.
