President and CEO Ken Asbury Honored by Final Salute for Veterans Recruiting, Hiring, and Career Development at CACI
CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury was honored as Hero of the Year by Final Salute Inc. for his role in championing veterans and their families through company-wide initiatives spanning veteran hiring, recruiting, mentorship, volunteerism, and philanthropy. Final Salute Inc. provides homeless women veterans with safe and suitable housing, and works with each veteran in establishing her plan toward independence.
CACI is committed to hiring veterans and veterans with disabilities, recognizing that they have the experienced skillsets, character, and dedication to deliver exceptional support for the national missions CACI serves. Strengthened by Mr. Asbury's efforts, CACI's veteran hiring initiatives make the company a national leader in this area, with veterans constituting approximately 30% of the company's workforce, 9% of whom are disabled veterans, and 1,844 veterans hired in CACI's fiscal year 2016.
CACI's commitment to veterans has earned the company significant industry recognition. Most recently, CACI was recognized by the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) program for its top veteran hiring, named one of the 2016 Most Valuable Employers for Military by CivilianJobs.com, a Top Employer for Veterans by Forbes, and a "Best for Vets" Employer by Military Times. CACI's corporate culture of ethics and integrity is central in our commitment to supporting philanthropic programs like Final Salute Inc. that assist veterans and their families.
At CACI, employing veterans is a priority, and the company takes great pride in the exceptional talent, dedication, and good character they bring to customer missions. To further advance its industry-recognized program for recruiting, hiring, and supporting veterans, CACI also recently welcomed Major General (Retired) Gary S. Patton as Vice President of Veterans Outreach. In this role, he leads a dedicated Veteran Support and Recruiting Office and Military Veteran Advocacy team, which works one-on-one with military veterans and their spouses as they transition into civilian careers.
"On behalf of everyone at CACI, I would like to thank Final Salute for this honor and recognition," said Mr. Asbury. "Returning to civilian life from the Armed Forces comes with many challenges, but finding a safe place to live should never be one of them. Our sustained focus on careers for veterans continues to be a high priority while helping to address this national crisis. We are deeply committed to our program of recruiting, hiring, and mentoring veterans, and are very proud to support Final Salute in the vital work that it does."
CACI offers veterans an opportunity to continue their national service on CACI teams supporting national security and government modernization.
